Ive looked around for cams using the ld9 cam list, and I dont really know my stuff. Ive got a 5speed manual with the 2.4L. I just have an intake and fullexhaust and am looking for a pair of camshafts that would just drop in without having to replace a bunch of stuff. I was looking at the jbp site and looked at theirs. Would these or any other ones require tuning or could they be installed and off you go? I wont be doing any other mods so I thought this would a decent step up. Are they hard to install and are the lifters they sell an essential? At what rpm range do you start to notice the power? Will I have to worry about wrecking the springs in the head with aftermarket camshafts or anything else for that matter?

Also, would you have to run premium with new cams?
find a set of used secret cams WITH the lifters and towers the exact way they came off the car and you wouldnt have to buy anything brand new and it would pry be the cheapest way....
