Exhaust Set up

I have searched already, don't flame me......... I was wondering if i should get an aftermarket cat if i go about and get the dynomax super turbo muffler. and what resonator should i use, if you know what side inlet and outlet for the muffler i need, that would be appreciated too. It is a 2000 Sedan with 2200 SFI. Thanks a lot.

redo everything. 2.25 piping from as far as you can. and get a header.

rough estamite on that price, maybe a pacesetter 4-1 header. and some brand of highflow cat, with a resonator and dynomax muffler...roughly what....500 bux?

to answer your question with the best of my knowledge, aftermarket cat makes minor changes in power (not much to matter) it may or may not change your sound levels and raspyness of your sound...basically it boils down to whether you have the money to dish out for a new cat when it won't change that much (IMO)

the gains from a new cat are from the increased pipe size, the catalyst material is really the same between stock and "hi flow". im currently using a thunderbot spun ceramic 2.25, along with the pacesetter ceramic coated header, 2.25 header back, with a 24" resonator to custom catback. sounds good, and spread the power out a little more than it was. i'm appy, all parts involved im at like $600. did all the work myself.
