Its called the "SLD" (speed limit defencer). Its made by HKS, and i was just wondering if it was possibly compatible with our cars?
HKS SLD

This thread should and probably will be locked.
I doubt it would work with our cars anyways...
Well i didn't know where to post...
Anyway i understand if its locked! But thought it would be a good product for the track if it worked...
Thanks

The speed limiter is a subject that is not a good one to bring up. There are other ways of correcting that issue if you are actualy fast enough to need it changed, but nobody will tell you openly in this forum.
If you can get your car to trap at higher then 109, then you should have the knowledge on how to properly move your speed limiter. And what mitdr774 said, it usually get ridiculed if you post something like this, but hopefully everyone will keep their cool about it and this thread just goes away.
what are you running a quarter at, also whats the trap speed?
hop on in i've got a J

getting your car to trap 109 has nothing to do with the knowledge to get rid of the limiter. hes also just asking about the product that hks sells. does it work.
Well, given HKS's rep for performance parts, I'd say one of us needs to get hold of it & give it a try (Don't look at me).
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
You can do the same damn thing with a toggle switch... not that I would know of have done it before...
IBTL
Knowing HKS... it probably does work...... but I'm curiouse to find out how..... it's probably just some sort of ECU piggyback.
Oh well..... it's funny how 108mph is OK but 110 or higher is bad around this forum..... but I understand why we cant tell people how to do it.... although a very large amount of us here already know how.
How much is that lil thing. If it's more than a $150 then it's a waste, just find someone w/ hpt pay for the credits and toss them an extra $50 just for being nice.
