Just wondering if anyone here has run Turbo Blue or similer fuel in there car? I know its not for stock, and i know you need a certain compression Ratio so no bashing. Just wondering any J-bodys used it before?
ya but my question was is anyone using it? if a stock j-body runs that stuff it will burn though the injectors and burn a whole in the piston... my guess that stuff is insanely potent
No, running turbo blue will not "burn up" the injectors or blow a hole in the piston. It's simply a higher octane fuel with other additives. At worst, it can ruin your O2 sensors and foul out your plugs. But more than likely running straight turbo blue in a stock J will just cause it to miss, because the higher octane fuel won't burn properly.

Actually, the worst that'll happen is that you'll clog your convertor because of it's lead content. Excess amounts of tetraethyl lead was how octane ratings in excess of 92-93 points were acheived in the the old pre-emissions days. A buddy of mine ran it once in his driven '87 GN, got some near the track to use at the track then drove home on the rest. Of course, he had a "test tube" in place of the cat that had a dump on it, and ran 30psi of boost with the K&N cylinder zip-tied behind the grill against the A/C condenser. He said he got 30+ mpg on the highway runnin' back on what was left from the day, and wound-up replacing to EGO sensor after a month. To be honest, going that route would be a mistake on any car that'll see emissions testing. If you really want to run a higher octane fuel, look for a place that carrys CAM2 108 octane unleaded. It's the highest octane gasoline available to the public market, and rather hard to find (Luckily the same friend found it a couple of towns away at a small station, and ran on it since). The worst that'll happen with that is you might need to replace the EGO every six months... That is if you run on it daily.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
