Ok...I am doing a eco swap into my 99 fire. Now from what i can understand i have a "bastard" year car where i have the evap and return lines already on my car like the 2000 up. So my question pertains to the wireing of the pump and sender. They should be the same? Or should i just say the hell with it and throw in the 03 tank setup?
I have not done this swap on a 99, but I think you will be fine. Also going from a hanyes manual it shows all the wiring the same up to 04 (but this does not mean it is).

yah i figured it is the same....just want to make sure..it would be nice to keep the larger tank
confirm, I'm using my 99 tank on an eco swap I did. yours will work fine as will your pump
No repinning or anything?
Your 99 should be the same. My 99 was like my brothers 04, but mine was metal tank, his was plastic.

Yea thats the only difference. The sending unit is a different part number to fit the metal tank but uses the same connections. My metal tank is rusted so i am searching for a plastic one and i've already got a new pump for the new tank. I'm in the same boat with my 99.
