Is it the same Ecotec 2.2 in the Cavaliers and Cobalts?

there's been a lot of revisions to the cobalt version, also a different reluctor wheel on the crankshaft
all the 2.2 ecos up to 05 are interchangable into the jbody without any problem... anything newer than that won't be a plug and play
the 5hp increase is caused by a bigger TB. at least thats what i was told
