Porting Intake

I was wondering, on a Eco, does it really make any difference to port match the ports on the intake manifold by dremeling them out? I am dremeling them to the very edge of the little rubber gaskets if anyone knows what I mean.

there was a thread a month or two back about this. never been dynoed as far as i know but it was said the smaller intake runners increase low RPM air velocity. increasing low end torque. where porting the runners allow more CFM, the air is moving slower at low rpm. like a river that gets wider. so porting (in theory) should give you more top end HP gains at the expense of low end torque. this link has the 2.4 eco mani as an example of larger runners:

i would think this is a better mod than porting the original. i plan on buying AFTER HPT just so i dont lean out like that chart shows.lol
