well this morning was the second time it has happened. start up the car, and she idles like normal, but when you step on the gas, or free rev the engine, instead of a smooth decel of the engine, almost like its "floating" for a second, (i guess is the best way to explain it.) the rpms just drop as soon as you get off the gas. the car sounds funky as well. not misfiring or anything like that, just a weird tone to it. i dont think it matters, but i installed the 2.3l ho manifold last friday. but i have not had anyproblems up until yesterday morning. now about the time the car reaches normal operating temp, everything returns to normal. from this i was thinking it might be a sensor, but i dont have access to the tech 2 till i get back to work on mon. any other suggestions guys?????
possibly sealing problem as far as a air/vacum leak

why would it be intermittent. why would it take a week to show up?
idk..thats how mine sounded..as its cold it will do it, then as if got hotter the head and manifold expanded, sealing the leak off untill it cooled

well the third time it did it today, the car ran fine after a "warm" start, but when i got to where i was going, she started this weirdness. no other way to explain it. i will bust out the tech 2 tommarow in the am and see what i can find.
well there are 2 possible things happening here. either i have a vacum leak which is more plausable, or the iac is @!#$ up. but its only intermittent. didnt do anything at all today. i did notice playing around with the tech 2, if i am driving the car, the iac counts look fine, but if i let her sit an idle for about 10 minutes, the counts will get around 0-4 range. now i checked out alldata and double checked my "correct" range at 10-24 at normal operating temp. so my quesiton is, with this different manifold, and larger tb what can i expect. is that gonna make the difference in the iac counts? or should i pull everything apart and reseal it?
My guess would be reseal it. My first HO manifold I had on the car worked flawlessly... no problems with idling or anything. The second one I put on I also installed the 56mm TB and I'm noticing some of the effects you are. I haven't bothered resealing mine yet though.. i'm almost certain that's the culprit.
what what i am thinking as well... just gotta get down time for the car, i have been wanting to go back in and clean some things up anywho
