What would cause my ICM to fail twice in 3 months? i have a 2005 cavalier. Only mod to the car is my sterio that probably draws alot of amps.
mine failed on me once, had to drive the car to the dealership the 2 cylinders that were still firing. luckly enought it was replaced under warrentee, apparently GM has a service buletin out about this problem. Mine has been fine tho since i got it replaced.

Got in my car this morning and cranked the car 7 times before it started....
The car also runs funny some times. like its running on 3 cylinders...
Could a MSD ignition upgrade help the problem?
