I just got my hands on a 2.2 ecotec from a wrecked cobalt. Im not sure on the year my dad brought it home from work and i have some questions. First if it is the new style with the bigger reluctor ring can i change it to the smaller style. Second the engine overheated and lost compression in two cylinders would it still be good i plan on having it checked or will it be a waste of time and money. If the engine will work since the cobalt has a eletronic powersteering pump and cavalier's are driven by the cam can i use a cavalier cam and powersteering pump. Any help is greatly appreicated.

i dont see why not...but its a good idea to check the whole motor over before droppinh an ounce of parts into it
