im gonna be installing the header tommrrow and im not sure what to do with the gaskets it comes with.
for the header to block im gonna use a feltpro or the original if its still good. but for the 4-2 and 2-1 section should i use the gaskets with the copper rtv glue, or trash the gaskets and just use the rtv glue and bolt together.
any other tips to make this install eaiser would also help

the 4-2 GASKET is @!#$ty, it blew within twenty minutes of driving it, im still waiting to see where i can get another one. The one on the manifold seeled fine so far that i know of, I used Permatex High Temp Gasket Sealer on the manifold and it worked well.

I tell all my customers to get new gaskets when they purchase this header from us. We installed one on a cavalier recently and used permatex and seeled the manifold perfect with the gasket the header comes with.

I Blew the gasket from 4-2 instantly and had to go to advanced auto and get a gasket sheet just make sure its the one with with metal in the middle. I used the rtv copper sealant it helped but im still blowing gaskets. As for Fitment don't peace the top two parts together first or it wont fit put it together after you have the header bolted to the block.
k.. ya, i got it on now.. but the down pipe thingy is sitting on my rack and pin... any suggestions? anyone had this problem?
bolt the top to the back of the block first ONLY, after that bring the down pipe up from underneath the car, most likely have to put the car up a little bit. bolt it up. then put the car up again and finish off the last piece.

So what is the solution to keep the 4-2 gasket from blowing? You still having this same problem?? You made your own gaskets out of gasket material right?
yeah im still blowing them i have tried doubling em up and some other stuff i have one more thing to try. I want to go get a sheet of copper to make the gasket because on my old bike thats what it used as a gasket.
I am having trouble getting the O2 sensors off...anybody have any suggestions on what i can do to get them off???
Go buy the o2 sensor socket its like 5 bucks at autozone.
I work for advanced auto parts...and i have the o2 sensor socket...but it still won't budge...and i have very minimal room to work with...it will turn but only so far before i can't get it to move anymore...
Off of the stock header? If that is the case just unplug the o2 sensor and take the header off. Then you will have all the room.
is it supposed to leak some from the flex pipe, can i wrap the flex pipe with heat/header wrap. i could also have an issue with the 2-1 gasket, i think the 4-2 is holdin ok with the silicon

For the 2-1 gasket leaked on mine to. I had a metal gasket laying around that fit with a lip on the inner ring. I got it from the local muffler shop or you can find them on the internet.
