curious about a crankshaft

ok so as far as i know there are no destroker kits for the L61. so i was curious if one were to take the crankshaft out of the LSJ would it fit into the L61 motor and destroke it? and if so what about bearings, connecting rods, and pistons? would you have to take them from the LSJ motor as well? and even the harmonic balancer? and again im just curious. not trying to say it WOULD work. thanks

i'm pretty sure you need to use the entire rotating assembly that matches the crank (ie, rods and pistons)

and the crank will destroke an L61 yes the problem lies in the reluctor ring..

the stock Jbody ring has 7 teeth, the LSJ has 58 teeth
so your ignition system won't function

and you can't swap reluctor rings between the two cranks.. they're a permanent peice of their respective cranks
