I have heard that one guy actually made the worlds first Civic that ran 9s into a FR ro RWD car.
Would I be crazy to actually try this and is it possible a J-body Rear wheel drive?

yes it can be done but it costs alot of money. if you want it to still be streetable, it will cost you even more money.
the guy with the civic probably stuck in a F20 (S2000) motor. its been done before and talked about much, just like the RWD J-body.

at that point you might as well drop in the V8 Northstar which is front wheel drive, FTW
