i have a 98 cav with the old and tired 2200 ohv with auto tranny, i was askin will any year of the 2.4 work in it or does it have to be a specific year like a 98? thanx

ok well i have a question along the same lines i have a 2001 with a blown 2.2 and was wondering what is needed besides the 2.4 motor to swap that in to my car cuz i want to put the 2.4 in

motor, tranny, wiring harness, computer. thats all i can think of now

To make this an even swap, grab a 2.4 within the following years to make it easier.. 95-99. Youll need the following.

Cluster with tach.
Motor
Tranny
Upper and lower radiator hoses
Engine wiring harness
2.4 lower engine mount cradle
4speed auto center console
Youll also need the passenger side axle, your driver side will fit fine(weird, I know)

Thats about it really.

Basically the same thing what I posted above, but youll want to stay in the 00-02 year of the 2.4's since you already have an 01
