I found this here on ebay whilst doing my search for an exhaust system. I purchased one already but my question is, will the 2 inch core of the resonator hurt anything in the way of freeing up the exhaust?

No It Should Not Hurt Anythingu Should Keep All Your Exhaustthe Same Size

Technically yes it will hurt. Any restriction or interference to the smooth exhaust pulses will cause you to loose HP...but not enough to not get a resonator.

BTW, a 14" resonator didn't do much on my exhaust, and I had a magnaflow cat and an oval chambered muffler. I went with the magnaflow with the longest available core (for the 2.5" I believe it was 21"), and it sounds much better.

Well, I called the company and had them swap out my 14" resonator with one that is 22" long with an equal length/size core. And they aren't even gonna charge me extra. Amazing service right there.
