help with motor companies
Sunday, August 19, 2007 7:45 AM
So a week ago tomorrow I bought a 99 Z24 convertible. Yesterday I was told that the motor is $#!%. My family said they would help me if I bought a crate motor with a warranty on it. Any suggestions or advice on which company to pick, and what to look for would be great. Please don't post about how I should just do a swap for an eco... I would like to but I don't have the time or money for that. I would also be Okay with getting a motor with some slight modifications to it, If it doesn't involve a new computer, and it comes with a warranty. Please help. Thanks in advance

Also I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to find out which version of the 99 LD9 I have in my car, without waiting til tomorrow to contact crateenginedepot.com. Their site says that I can call tomorrow and they can tell me which engine I need. They have goodwrench motors on their site. Has anyone ever dealt with these, and what is the difference between the two motors. One is brand new crate motor for $1540(97-99), and the other is a remanufactered motor for $2850(99-02). Why is there uch a big price difference?
