Cool, but I've seen Walbro 255s flow 500bhp...
fortune cookie say: better a delay than a disaster
at 75+ psi they do... but I'm running 45psi. The killer for me was the 3/8 fuel line, and a kinked plastic line only flowed to 200whp and then decided to weld a couple spark plugs.

Sweet , I just went to the salvage yesterday and picked up an extra tank so I could weld in a sump. Let me know how well it works out.
BTW; Did you retain your stock sending unit and return line?

i used the old feed line for my return... i'm going to replace it with with some -6 twistlok at some point since I dont particularly like it how it is. Stock sending unit is still there... and appears to be somewhat accurate. Removed all the evap bull@!#$, will disable the codes in HPT.

Am I reading this correct?
You think your 3/8" fuel line was a restriction @200whp?
Wow, and to think that GM never caught that on all the 300-350 vettes and camaros they built.
Same goes for the slowfire @ 360whp on the stock fuel lines and a walbro pump.
Not to mention the pain that the mustang in my driveway with 3/8" steel lines and a 575hp engine must be feeling having only 200whp worth of fuel available.
Am I correct in guessing from the pics that you stepped up to -06 braided hose for the whole feed line?
With an inside diameter of 0.35" it must be a big step up from 3/8"
Your mallory is rated by mallory to be 77+ GPH at 60 PSI @ 14 volts. This compares to a 255lph walbro that is rated at 62 gph at 60psi @13.5 volts.
Huge difference you gained there too.
Walbros do not suck. Your fuel system is nothing different than what thousands of rednecks have done to their muscle cars for almost forever. Woo hoo, your so cool.

^^ damn dood, some friction going on there. arent we all here to help one another?
i for one give owen props on the WORK involved. sure, it may not be needed as mentioned, but maybe he just wants an easier to work on setup and maybe is looking to put down some major power in the future and will most certainly need a better fuel system.
and wtf? i thought all our gas tanks were PLASTIC? steel tanks are news to me....

reading > protomec... I'd point out the word he missed, but I feel like being an ass. I had severe issues with the walbro... so it got tossed. I'm guessing that 575 hp stang is boosted with a rising rate FPR... meaning its pushing 70psi of fuel.
The mallory is rated 93gph @ 40psi... where I intend to run it.
z aaaa, 95-98 (Maybe 99 too) were all steel.

Owen, when you want a real intake manifold made, let me know.
I have so much invested in the hahn turd of an intake that I really dont wanna think about another intake.... I might go ITBs still one day, we'll see.

confirm...99 tanks are also steel. only 2000+ are plastic
neat system...I don't know much about building high hp cars...so I can't put in any input on that
im not gonna lie.... that direct port setup and msd gives me a chubbie..
ya know i coulda swore i talked to a guy on msn named owen .... i swear he told me he was done with the cavi
