FMAC-VR Electronic voltage Stabilizer

Yeah, I know that this has been talked about before, but always in an audio context.... I got a car from another org member, and it had a voltage stabilizer on it, now I am stripping that car, and I have this FMAC-VR Unit sitting right here in front of me. I guess what I want to know is if it would do anything at all for my car, or make it worse... keep in mind that I don't have to spend any money on it, it is right here. I read that these things are supposed to actually make all of your electronics run a little better and in turn your ECU pushes itself a little more... Does anyone know if this is true? I don't necessarily want to know if this will help my lights from dimming when my system is going. I already know how to do that. I also already have the big 3 done too. Any advice would be grand. Thanks guys
