Hey all
I recently installed a PnP head on my 2200. I had a full pacesetter exhaust with a hi-flo cat and either 18" or 20" glasspack prior to the new head being put on.
I loved the sound of the car at idle and low rpms with the new had, sounded a bit beefier and had a lower tone to it.
My question is, and im pretty sure that the answer is yes, is that would the new head (pnp, +1mm valves) make the car raspy at high RPM? It never used to be with an otherwise stock motor.
Again, im pretty sure that its because of the new head, just making sure im not crazy.
Also, Im getting a customtubes 2.5" exhaust soon, and im thinking of getting new muffler and new glasspack. does anyone have a similar setup with a thrush glasspack and a dynomax muffler? These seem to be the best 2 and most popularly used. Im curious beacuse I dont nessecarily need a low tone, I just dont want it getting all raspy and ugly sounding when the R's go up, the new setup should help it, right? (biggest glasspack i can find, perforated style)
thanks for the info!
