I need some opinions. Im building a time attack car and at first i wanted it to be all-motor, but after driving my brohers 1986 Dodge Dayona turbo, im feeling like i want to boost it now! The car is an auto and i was going to swap in the 4T65E and use paddle shifters from PCS. Now im looking at swapping in the LSJ engine. I like low end torque, and I focus on building a complete car not just power. I have a Haltech EMS bought so im ready to tackle anything engine wise. Should i boost the 2.2, or swap the LSJ and put a manual transmission in the car?
It would be much easier to turbo or supercharge the 2.2 ecotec from the cavalier generation.
The LSJ has a completely different engine mount set, and the transmission is not even close to the getrag setup found on the cavalier's.
IMO keep the 2.2 ecotec and boost that.

Those Dodge Daytona's were cool!! I forget the name for them though. They had a special name.
Ahh just thought of it, it's a Shelby Daytona.
