Anyone have any suggestions on some performance upgrade mods. I have upper and lower motor mounts and front and rear trans mounts. I have the vibrant exhaust with dc sports 4-1 headers, i'm gonna be getting an injen short ram is series intake, eventually, and i was wondering if anyone else had any more suggestions. I was thinking about getting the throttle body along with the sri but would that make a difference? I'm just learning about my car, 2003 chevy cavalier 2.2L DOHC Ecotec w/ about 47000 miles. I wasn't looking to turbo it or anything like that, yet, eventually i might, but thats down the road.
Also can anyone give me a range on the horsepower i should have now?
Stock Horsepower= 140
Upgrades:
Vibrant Exhaust.
DC Sports 4-1 headers.
Upper and Lower Motor Mounts
Front and Rear Trans Mounts.
Performance Chip(idk if it did anything ...)

the Ecotec is rated at 140 hp at the crank, and depending on what transmission you have (auto, 5 speed) you lose some hp to the wheels.
stock auto ecotecs - 110-115 hp at wheels (estimate)
stock 5 spd ecotecs - 115-120 hp at wheels (estimate)
with the mods you list:
Vibrant exhaust (muffler or catback system?)
DC 4-1 header (no "s" you only have 1 header)
motor mounts
tranny mounts
chip (DOES NOTHING) worthless.
Maybe 5-15 hp with these boltons. Not really guessable since mods work different on each car. Only way to know would be to dyno the car and see what numbers it puts down. As far as the big TB with a short ram air. you might see a little gain? A bigger TB is nice but its more of a "supporting" mod, meaning it goes well with other mods, but doesnt do much alone. If you increase air flow, you should increase fuel flow too, so maybe with these basic boltons you might get a good tune.
things to add power:
intake
62 mm TB
cams
Port and polish head (or get Patriot head)
header
high flow cat
exhaust
tune (can work wonders)
and if this isnt enough you can always go with boost or nitrous. hope this helps.

Alright thank you. I have the auto trans so now i know the estimate horse. The closest dyno is like 2 hours away so it's a little out of the way. Thanks for the mods i'll add them to the list for the future.

most 5 spd ecotec dyno 125-135 stock
mine was 131
LE61T PTE6262 Powered
so 140 crank hp is a good number. but some people do dyno 135 all stock.
my guess would be around 145 crank hp. only thing that gives you hp is the exhaust.
I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'

I didnt think the exhaust showed much difference in performance when i had it installed but i know the mounts did and i'm having the header put in today actually, it was suppose to be yesterday but got put on hold. I'm not sure if the exhaust made a difference though. I want to dyno it but the closest dyno is like 2 hours away. sigh

Get a lightweight crank pulley, you will feel the difference in how fast the engine revs up.
