Some Engine Build Advice
Sunday, June 03, 2007 8:37 AM
In the future i plan to build my Eco up a lil bit, nothing big, just new rods, pistons and cams. My question is what type and brand of piston and rod would be best for me? I plan to keep it pretty mild because this car is a daily driver nor do I have the kind of money needed to do a high power build up. Also i have a question regarding the cams. I'd like to get the stage 2 n/a grind but do I have to have a piggyback on it or will the stock computer be ok?

contact Livid on here aka levelzero motorsports, he makes a nice cam, the triflow, good for na and good for boost......

as for pistons if your staying NA then 10 or 10.5:1 compression would probably suffice, a nice piston is wiseco, molly rings and eagle h beam rods.

watch for flying sparks!!!
