so yea i used to own a 2002 cavalier that i was building with an eco to play around on the street and i was ALWAYS on here posting and just reading up. But then a friend of mine got killed street racing so i then scrapped the whole project traded my car in on a new silverado and sold the motor and most the parts. Last year in may i bought a 99 cav with a blown motor and made plans to make it a NHRA comp eliminator super mod car... so heres wat i have after over $12,000 and a years worth of work. Oh and by the way its only $12000 in parts as we own our own chassis / fabrication shop and did alll the work ourselves.

well considering it has a lil less the 4 inches of ground clearance it wouldnt like the roads out here in new orleans. But i do have a title and im keeping the full interior, all real glass, and working head and tail lights so i guess u could say its street legal

so what do you plan on dropping in the engine bay......LN2? (rolls eyes) Very cool man hope everything else goes together smoothly and you get us some good vids... And if you could take it on the streets that would be funny seeing a RWD tubbed cavi at a local cruise/ show. Nice work.

well after i finish plumbing and wiring the car we gonna run the car and shake it down to get all the bugs out with my friends stock bottom end 350 that should run mid 10s in the car. But I plan on building a 330ci chevy small block naturally aspirated that should run 8.50s - 8.70s. EVENTUALLY we plan on running the car in the outlaw 10.5" tire class and for that we will run a 400+ci small block with either a single turbo or centrifugal supercharger... but to be competitive in that class u need 1700+ hp and run 6.90s.

This should shut up some people on the idea that a cavy can't be tubbed and run a V8...

Me likes this idea.....
