I'm new to this forum, okay my 95 cavalier 2.2 5 spd the starter bindex has been acting up. I usually just roll start it and it does fine, I drove it to school the other day and I had some friends help push start me. It done fine, the next day it was completely different. We couldnt get it started period. So I tried with the starter a few times, and it then kicked in and out (the bindex) and it cranked and cranked. Nothing, so we then push it down this huge hill (on the highway) on the side of the road. I went from 1st all the way through 4th and it not doing nothing. It wasnt hitting a lick, not firing not nothing. So I was wondering what in the world? It fired up fine the day before. I dont hear the fuel pump kicking in when I turn the key on now, but would that matter? I know it would but like it going out all at once like that confuses me. The morning before I was at school and I was on my way to school I tried roll starting it and it woudlnt do anything. But I bumped that starter a few times and it eventually started right up, but that evening it wouldnt do anything. I dont know if me turning the key off and on off and on trying to kick that starter bindex in woudl've burnt up my fuel pump or what? Any suggestions?
