Got 2 new control arm bushings as well, Factory ones. Gonna get 2 motor mounts off of the TTR web site, I'll see if they will help.

Better yet, apprently I believe it's the early 90's grand ams use the same control arm as ours, except it's aluminum or something to that effect, and it's flipped upside down on the grand ams... Go pick those up, put in some pulyurethane bushings in there, and you're ready for some serious fun

this will either make it bog, or wheel hop worse, a HIGHER launch rpm would be better, but the loss of traction would out-weigh that. just feather the clutch a little bit off the line and then drop the hamma.

yep, except its ONLY the 99 year model for the grand am's, they are a solid piece of aluminum and are very nice, like said, urathane bushings in these and it makes a world of difference.

Keeping your engine from moving with solid motor mounts and tranny mounts solves a lot of this too.

We carry both.

After I lowered my cav and put in poly motor mounts. I have ZERO wheel hope, unlike my HHR. Act like it has hydros.

Would that be the FE2, or FE3 suspension?

Any particular 99 model? Or a link of a place that sells them? I may look into this before I do my control arm bushing install next week. Thanks in advance!

wrong. The reason your wheels hop is because the motor starts to rock back and forth which is transferred to the wheels. Getting the upper, lower, trans mounts, and control arm bushings will get rid of wheel hop. Just the TTR upper mount got rid of ALL of my 2nd gear wheel hop. i got the lower and control arm bushings and trans mounts after the fact. Trust me, go to TTR's website, get their Upper mount, whatever color you want, lower mount, solid trans mounts if you have the 5 spd, and prothane control arm bushings.

Sorry, but engine and tranny mounts will stop a lot of wheel hop, on the cavalier/sunfire/cobalts, when you just put in solid mounts will stop almost all wheel hop. This is the point of getting solid engine and tranny mounts, getting more power/torque to the wheels.

The engine and transmission oscillate, caused by the wheel hop and adds to the wheel hop. Stiffer (solid/polyurethane) motor and transmission mounts reduces that oscillation and the associated wheel hop, while transferring the power to the ground quicker.
