i understand the cam swap for the secret cams but was wondering.......
if i had the 95 intake cam in the cam tower and a 90-94 exhaust cam in the tower would i be able to just swap the towers out instead of ripping everything apart.
i assume you mean swap the towers w/o taking the timing chain/cover all that ISH outta the way first?
then no, you cant... the cams are bolted TO the timing chain aluminum cover on the inside... so u still have to do it. i know-it really sucks... the freaking ecotec guys have it so damned easy. all they gotta do is take off the ignition/cam cover and there right there.
Also, no because I believe the 90-94 have bigger lifter bore than the standerd 2.4 ones(correct me if Im wrong).. I think each lifter bore is bigger by like 2mm or something..

that wouldnt matter if he was swappin towers over and also doesnt matter cuz 90-94 lo cams fit in 2.4 towers no problem its the ho cams that have the issue
thats why i said correct me if im wrong :p

It would have to be a 95' intake cam tower from an automatic (unless you plan on drilling and tapping for the cam sensor). Or else you would need to use a Saturn cam sync generator.
But like z yaaaa said, the cams are attatched to a gear inside the timing chain housing and the towers are attatched with 4 bolts from inside the housing as well... so there is no way to remove the towers without getting those off first.
