a while back i put a tsudo 4-2-1 header on my 03 cavy, ebay crap if you ask me... but my question is does any one know how to fix an exhaust leak on these headers.... cant find anyone who makes gaskests that fit, ive tried cutting gasket matieal a couple of times for it... nothing works... second question, i have just learned not to ask about it on this site but does any one know where i can find info on removing my speed govorner or just info on my speed govorner in general, i have drag races coming in a month and i would like to have it done by then....and how do you ad pics to these posts!!!!

I haven't a clue about your header, just tighten the bolts better, or get a different header. That is all I have for that.
As for the posting pictures, go to www.photobucket.com and make yourself an account. Then upload your pictures and paste the IMG code onto your next post where you want the picture. It is pretty self explanitory once you get on there.
First of all, unless you are trapping over 106 you don't need the cars top speed limiter removed. Second of all your car is not really limited by a "governor" it is limited by the ECU. This can be modified by HP tuner, but like I said, you really don't need it.
The headers all have that issue, must because of the FWD spring bolt crap. On my pacesetter I just reefed on the bolts until they basically mushed, and the exhaust leak finally went away, I know it's designed to have flex in there, hopefully there's still enough... If you have a good set of motor mounts, I wouldn't worry about it too much and just tighten the snot out of it.

i tried tightening the crap out of the bolts... the header dosnt leak for like 2 days then it comes back again, tired thread lock and lock washers, fixed it for about 2 weeks then the problem is right back, and i could probly hit about 115 in the quater w/out my gov. and where can i get a good hp tuner?
What do you have done to your car that you could hit 115 in a 1/4 mile?
For the exhaust leak, Solid motor mounts will solve the problem of the exhaust moving. And so you dont overtighten the bolts in the head, try using 2 fresh gaskets, sandwich them together and tighten it down, should fix the problem.

Hptuners is a tuning software. you need a laptop to run it and try the tuning forum or Hptuners website

skunk 2 lowering springs, tsudo 4-2-1 header, Skunk 2 muffler, weapon R short ram intake with K&N air filter, Spec stage 2 racing clutch with less than 3000 miles on it, B&M short throw shifter, drilled and slotted front rotors with perfomance brake pads... hit 105 by the end of off ramp, an i have tried the two gasket trick, with a gasket sealent spray twice, still no luck... im about to give up and get a new one

i know, and i have drags coming up, thats the only reason i want it removed, i recently had a close friend involved in a bad car accident from driving to fast im not about to abuse it, just for drags
you hit 105 trap with pretty much just a header and an intake?? WOW.. i really need to rethink my build then.. lol

so the only mods you have are the header/exhaust/intake and doing more then 100mph......
and to think all these people spend money on nitrous/turbo's/superchargers

hey man, i didnt come on hear to get trash talked, i came on this site to learn more about my car and get some ideas for it. im just tellin you what i know, i dont know if an off ramp is 1/4 mile or not, but i do know that i get 100 to 105 by the end of it.
^^ Do you start at a standstill on the ramp? or at a roll? I can hit about 100 from a roll.
Check the racing forum and check out the cars that have similar mods to you, and youll see what you can hit in the 1/4.

There is absolutey no way that you would be trapping that with basically an intake and exhaust. The fastest N/A ecotecs are only trapping 92-96mph. You *AT BEST* should be hitting mid to high 15's and maybe 88-90mph trap. So simple logic would lead us to believe that this off ramp is considerably longer than 1/4 mile.

I was going to ignore your stupidity in going 100-105 on public roads, until you decided to mention your friend's accident from going too fast. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and just stop driving your car. There are too many cases of ignorant drivers who were travelling at extreme rates of speed walking away from a crash, while seriously injuring or killing another driver. I'm not usually one to jump all over people for their actions, but when you're saying that you had a friend in a bad accident from driving too fast, that in itself should make you think twice about driving like that.
