alright first off this is not a street car nor is it a motor that we really care about destroying. our team has a circle track cav ( '02 ln2 auto) and in the end of the last streach of the track the revlimiter kicks in. we want to dissalbe it wihout having to reprogram the whole pcm. even if other unctions are dissabled that might be ok. i just looked at the schematics and if i knew how the cmputer cut the ignition i could probaly figure it out but i have no idea what it does to kill the spark. any help is greatly appreciated.
get hp tuners , that will allow you to tune the motor as well as up the rev limiter some
also you can use a taller tire to lower the rpm some
I wonder what would happen if you just put a switch in the RPM signal wire? Probably something bad I would guess.

spark would be ramped out but its mostly cutting the fuel...

Try getting an apexi rsm it changes your shift points as well as some other aspects of tuning

Keep in mind its an auto, cutting either speed or rpm signal and the tranny won't shift right
well now that i think about it we might try the switch on the rpm signal wire because the once we stay in second the whole race. we would have gone to an aftermarket tune, diffrent tire, or new ignition but its a stock class and those are "illegal". if it comes down to it we'll go the hp tuners way and we'll bite the $500.

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
Contact this guy. He did mine. He has HP tuners and if you send your pcm to him he can raise the rev limeter. It will be FAR cheaper then buying HP tuners yourself. He can also change a few other things for ya as well to make it a lil quicker, if you wanted him to.
