Exhaust Sound Q's

Heya, I just finished putting my pacesetter header on, and have a leak where the downpipe hooks up to the stock exhaust, anyways, make a long story short I'm taking it to a shop to get fixed asap.

So my question is... this is a 2.2 LN2, I'm planning on swapping to a N/A all motor ecotech at some point, so I figured I should go with either 2.25 piping or 2.5, any major difference between the two? Because while they're in there I might as well get a high flow cat. Next Q, is if I make this piping big, can it still hook up to the stock cat-back so I can change it down the road.... or am I better off having them put a full exhaust on, and trimming it later when I put the ecotech in?

My next question would be this, what resonator/muffler combo will give it a DEEP tone, with no vibration, can of bees sound, which is also similar to a giant wet fart going down the road Thanks guys!

There will always be someone faster than you, but thousands slower and dumber than you.

2.25" is about the biggest you can go, if you go any bigger it will be very close to the headshield by the gas tank when it bends up over the rear axle

you probably can go bigger, just wouldnt be a good idea, IMHO

The only problems people have had are with 3" exhausts hitting the rear torsion beam. I have never heard of any problems with a 2.5" exhaust. I have a 2.5" exhaust and no issues at all.

How soon do you plan to swap to the ECO? A 2.5" is awfully large for a stock ln2

I use straight Maganflow: High flow cat, 22" resonator and oval muffler. I don't have an ECO, but the concept is the same

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.

2.5 is not too large for a ln2. my car had it, i noticed a nice gain of power going from stock to 2.5.

I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'
