is there a difference between the 3800 gtp supercharge and the engine in the bonneville ssei. plus what 5 speed tranny will bolt up to these engines?

no manual tranny came factory with them.....engines are the same its like a sunfire and cavailer with 2.4 there the same for the same year, same as the trans am and z-28

There's only a difference depending on the year. If both engines use the Series II S/C (L67) then they're the same. Though, the 97 engine has some vac. lines routed different than the 98+. 04 GTP's got the Series III engine. They are the only car that got the engine for that year, all the Bonneville and whatever else will still have the Series II.
