Cat-Back

I'm interested in purchasing a cat-back exhaust system for my Cavy. I've had my eye on a Megan Racing N/A exhaust, and I'm curious if thats a good brand or not. If I could get some advice from anyone with the same 2.4L set up, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have it on my 2.2 as I know you are looking for some answers from someone with a 2.4. I will tell you that it is on the louder side of exhaust and can be annoying when driving I think. It's a fairly decent setup though. I have some sound clips of it on my 2.2 just to give you a idea as to how loud it is if you are interested. Let me know!

it's not that it's raspy I mean I love the tone of it it's just that the Db's are to high for me. I'm gonna go with a dynomax superturbo or borla proxs muffler and resonate it. besides I'm tired of lookin at the cannister muffler anyway.

I'm kinda new to this site, and couldn't find the sound clip you were talking about. I'm not looking for horse power gains, just an exhaust that sounds decent and is affordable. I noticed that Megan Racing exhaust has a double layer silencer. Do you think if I just forget about a cat-back system and weld the exhaust to the factory downpipe, that it might help with the sound levels? I had a universal exhaust on my last car, and it sounded pretty good. If not the Megan racing exhaust, is there any other brands to look for? Cops are everywhere around here, and I'm not looking to get pulled over again.lol

It's deff gonna change the sound if you just remove your factory muffler and put a aftermarked on if you want sound. but if you want a lil bit more from your car get a catback system. I am gonna post some different vids so it can give you a idea. I hope this helps some.

Here is the megan racing on my car reving

Here is a dynomax superturbo on my stock piping and a pacesetter exhaust tip. this just replaced my factory muffler.

Your car sounds really good man. Was your Megan exhaust a cat-back? Its not as loud as I thought it would be. Its probably going to be louder on mine because of the different engines, but I think I can live with it. I'll just keep my stock exhaust, so I can switch back and fourth whenever I need to.
