Hey guys,
i just got my full exhaust installed and the guys said they had trouble with my header. They had to cut off some of it by the flange because it was too big and asked me where i had got it. I told them off the internet and they think i got screwed on not getting a real pacesetter header. I am wondering if there are any certain markings that are on the header or is it just smooth throughout? And also what are some parts that commonly would rub with the bigger 2.25" piping. He told me it was rubbing on the heat shield and before i left he had moved it so it wouldnt. But now it sounds like the pipe is rattling on something again and it only seems to when i drive around for about 10-15 minutes?
here is the ebay site i purchased from and exhaust pics will be on my cardomain soon!
thanks!

the pacesetter headers that i have seen, have had a little rectangular plate welded to one of the runners that says pacesetter and some junk about being carb exempt.
if yours doesn't have that, i'd say its a knock off
Looks like a 2.4L LD9 header with the Ecotec flange welded on.
So you would have problems with it.

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
that flange isnt a pacesetter flange , see pic below
also pacesetter's o2 location is on the underside of the collector not the side
so yeah pretty much i got screwed on that one...its already on and well idk what to do now
would this have an effect on the performance and sound of the exhaust?
I doubt itll make huge differnce..
could it be this tsudo header? they look alot alike
^^ that is a 96-98 2.4 header , it has the egr tube
the 2.4 and eco have 2 completely different flanges , but the port spacing is is very close to the same
i know rsm used their 2.4 header on the eco's but changing the flange , back when the eco first came out
all pacesetters have a plate welded to it that tells the part# and the maker witch is pacesetter
