I just bought a pacesetter header and magnaflow cat 94035, and had a few questions about the install.
Would I be able to clamp the cat to the header and flange pipe temporarily until I can get it welded? What I mean is will it slip over the pacesetter downpipe or are they the same size on the ends to where it would have to be welded? And will I have to use a reducer to attatch it to the stock flange pipe? Sorry if thats hard to understand lol
Also how many of you used your stock gasket? My car has 78k on it so Im guessing mines prolly worth it to replace anyway. Ive heard the pacesetter gasket is crap from some, so should I get a gm or felpro or does it not realy matter?
Thanks
Yea I was just talking about clamping it temporarily for a day or so until I can get it welded. I dont know if Ill have access to a welder when I plan to do it and I dont wana pay a shop to do the entire install. Theres a shop a few minutes away from me, maybe Ill just have to have an open header for a few minutes haha
Ive heard of some people reusing the stock gasket though and they said they didn have any leaks.

Not so. Ever header install I have ever done we used the orginal gasket with not one problem.

You are putting in a new header so why not spend the extra $12 dollars canadian for a new gasket to be on the safe side.
if you want a new gasket. just get a stock gasket from your local auto store

Im saying it comes with the pacesetter gasket but is that a crappy gasket?
