Throttle body vacuum hose?
Saturday, March 03, 2007 7:46 AM
I'm needing the assistance of my fellow org members. I did a search and really didn't find what I was looking for. I wanted to know exactly what the purpose of the hose attatched to the throttle body is (see below), and where it ends exactly. I have an issue I'm tyring to diagnose on my car which is leading me to a vacuum leak. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I dont know 100% but I would start the car and pull the line off, check for vaccum if ther is no vacuum it is ported vacuum, if it is I think it goes to the purge valve.

That is the HVAC vacuum line... it goes thru the firewall to the heater controls, to change settings in the car. The 95-02 systems are vacuum controlled. 03-05 has two cables instead, no vacuum line.
