I was wondering whats the best way to remove the black paint from an uncoated pacesetter header? I plan to paint it with high temp paint, but if I just paint over the black it could just flake off underneath the high temp paint. Could I put it in the oven and then sand it down or something?
I know alot of you will say go with the ceramic coated but Im a cheap ass and dont feel spending an extra $100 for one lol. And I searched but this is kinda a dumb topic and couldnt find anything.
Sand blast it, I tried to sand it all of..... and repaint it. The paint STILL came off.

Yea I thought of that but i dont know any places around me that could do it.

Don't use the duplicolor paint, it flaked off the first time I started the car. I used VHT's High Temp Coating and cured it by their directions and have had no problems in two years, but it doesn't snow in Florida. I don't know how well it will handle the salted roads in the North East.
