I want to use the ecotec head for my boost project but i dont want to buy the block since ive already got one. Will a ecotec head work on my 89 Quad4 block? if not what would need to be changed for it too fit?

If you have any idea what the L61 Ecotec head looks like... compared to a Quad 4 head.... you'd know that it's pretty much impossible unless you create some pretty nifty custom stuff....
Which I'll guess would be in the $5,000 range.... if you're lucky.
nvm thats too much. ill stick with the 086 head.
can anyone give me info on what i need to make a exaust manifold that will hold a saab ( t4? ) turbo? i dont understand what a custom exaust manifold will do. Couldnt i just weld a bracket onto my HO exaust manifold and run the turbo from there?
