Hey all...
I feel like a total newb asking this, but I cant seem to find ANYONE or any business that sells a 62MM throttle body. I know that RSM Racing sold them before, but they don't exist anymore, or they changed to another business name or something. I heard something about racetech selling them, but i cant find their website cuz im a donkey, lol.
If anyone has any suggestions or knows who sells them, please post up.
Thanks in advance.

Well I found 2 after doing more research..
RSM is Z-Spec, they have a 62mm TB. Although after reading and hearing tons of horror stories about RSM, im a bit worried about this.
I also found Jbodyperformance.com has some throttle bodies but they are closed until after new years. Anyone use these ones? Anyone know any other places that sell TB's?

stay away form RSM/Z spec. you can go online to ebay, or get your stock one bored out.
i alos heard good and bad things about JBP
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
I'll be selling custom made 67-62-62 TBs after the first of the year. Won't be a bad price either....thinking like $200-$250.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

as far as i know the RSM/Z-spec isnt acctually 62mm (in fact something like 60.89mm or something)
i know that Mastin Snead took a stock 2.4 TB to a local shop to him and had them bore one to an ACTUAL 62mm, but idk whatever became of that situation
go to ebay, a company called Reveco has stock bored TB...they're weird tho, they go like 68mm then butterfly at like 60, then plate portion is like 62mm or something like that-ive heard good things about these.

oh god please tell me ur gonna make a BILLET one for the 2.4?!!?!? PLEASE!!!!! (why cant brian tell us where he got this "FDP" billet 65 mm?!!?!) lmao

there website is a bit vauge (sp??) but they claim to be able to go to 62mm and they polish the hell out of it
I won't be making billet anything. I will just be having someone I know who knows how to CNC machine parts like this bore them out and make new plates. If I had the money to invest in making billet ones then I might but that kind of thing isn't cheap at all.

If you offer them for the 2.4L I'll be looking for one after the new year.

I would PM Evan, because I think he was charging only $125 dollars if you sent him your t/b to be bored. He has some quality pieces I've heard.

Yes
If I can find a place to make me some billet ones cheaper I'll look into that but for now I gotta offer what I can get.

You sure you need a 75mm t/b? Just sayin.........
For 2.4 t/b's contact Franz @ fjpeters@sympatico.ca Last I talked to him, he had a few 62mm ones left.

The problem with that is three-fold
1) It is WAY too big for 99.999999% of Js around.
2) The turbulence that drastic change in size that comes so quickly near the plate will create IMMENSE issues.
3) You gotta find a way to make all the sensors work and find a way to calibrate it's flow to the car, not to mention make it bolt up and not leak. Not everyone has HP-Tuners and a machine shop in their garage.
Anything I make or sell would be a direct bolt-on, just swap the sensors and bolt it on. No adapters or tuning required, although I'm sure any car could benefit from tuning.

Does the IAC have the same nipple size and throw length?

IAC plugs right into the wiring harness
TPS is 3 wire but the plug isn't right.. I found another one on my harness that plugs into the TB that I'm not using for air conditioning
this tb is definetly overkill the billet ones you're having made will be easier to deal with but I want to see how this one works out, especially since my car is nothing but top end
idk we'll see its an experiment.. I like experiments =)
The 75mm Vortec t/b that PJ showed uses the same sensors as the 2.4, the Eco has that new damn TPS.

holy BALLS that tb is MASSIVE skwirl!!! god, i cant imagine needing such a peice! anyways...
brian... is that frank guy the one who made ur billet one? FDP or w/e?
Kris, I am testing a 2.4L 62mm (true 62mm) right now for what used to be FDP, he no longer makes parts because his daily job keeps him busy and has no time for side work. I am testing one out because he has a few laying around the garage and is selling the one I am testing if all works well.
Problems in the past were ofcourse TPS and idle, the 2.4L motors are VERY picky about these sensors....... it may be fixed and will know for sure by Monday. We played around with different TPS settings and Franz (owner of what used to be FDP) managed to be able to change the TPS without taking it off, all it takes is a volt meter and a screw driver
If you want one Kris, I can tell Franz to hold onto one for you and I will test it out... also he has a 65mm but that may be in my hands
Shoot me an email if you have any questions Kris.
