AEM Intake for an '01 2.4L: will it work on a '98?

Hey all,

I'm sure the answer to my question lies somewhere on this site, but I've been unable to find it. I'm selling off the performance parts from a 2001 Z24 that I recently sold, and a potential buyer has asked me this:

Will an AEM warm air intake for a 2001 2.4L work on a 1998 2.4L engine?

Thanks all- this site has always been a great source of information!

The AEM Inake for the 1996-99 wont fit on the 2000-02 2.4L engine. However the 2000-02 AEM intake will fit on the 1996-99. I forget what the deal is, however in 2000 AEM revised the intake as it didn't, or wouldn't fit right... Completely spacing why/what this is...

the tubes are bent slightly different , not sure why

also the hose fitting for the crank case ventalition , they have 2 different sizes , and both my 97 and my 00 and the 01 ive played with all have 3/4" hose

but ive had them both on both of mine and never had any problems
