what kind of muffler should I use?
I wana get the cat and 2.25 piping with a muffler for around $300 installed.

what kinda sound are you looking for?
As close to muscle car as it gets. I like it when it pops when you let off the gas. I don't want it to be raspy. I liked Vincent Morris's sound, but I don't want to go with the camaro style.

I realize you have cams and thats what gives you the lope, but what exhaust is that?

2nd post in that thread I linked you to. But thats weapon R header, i believe high flow cat at the time, no resonator, an a no name fart can, the cams give the rough idle and lowered the exhaust tone a ton

" not sure on how true this is"...butif you call rk sport they will tell you that a high flow cat will do nothing but cause problems on a 2.2 ecotec motor in an 04 cavalier. this is what i have. they told me that the high flow lets to much through and triggers your engine lights. they use to sell a sensor for your 02 but they stopped due to that problem. (to the guy that was going to buy the magnaflow muffler) if you get the RACE series its not raspy..i just installed 2.25 pipe and no res. and magnaflow race series muffler..part number (14851) and it sounds great..deep rumble and you get the popping noise from backpresure when you down shift...its great..but to each his own...good luch with it.
