Ive got the 2200 slug with the three speed and im swapping in a dif motor this winter. dunno whether to go with the ecotec or the 2.4. Ive got about 1500 to spend and i dunno which one is goin to be cheaper and easier please fill me in thx

I think you'll find the motors for about the same price.
if you have a 2000+ J then an Eco swap is not difficult or complex. The 2.4 TC is a nice engine but just go try and buy one in decent shape. try it. by me they are twice as much and in worse shape. not to mention the Eco has MUCH more support at this point, and a better GM boost kit if you want a oem fit and finish kit. no brainer.. Eco (im an ld9 owner, 2 times now lol)
