I'm putting my exhaust back to stock on my 05 cav and I want to put an aftermarket muffler on that's not that loud but still has a nice tone to it .I just don 't know what to get, here are my choices, cherry bomb turbor 2,thrush muffler, dynomax, flowmaster. Please let me know which is a good choice don't want to spend a lot off money on a stock system.

Dynomax superturbo for the win. i put mine back to stock and put that on there and it has a very nice tone to it. its quite at idle and sounds stock. and when you really womp on it it gets a deep tone to it.

The first three you named are pretty much all the same muffler...and if you want quiet id pick one of those. Personally ive had both the Cherrybomb Turbo II muffler on my Z and a Dynomax on my Eco and they both sounded really good. (the eco sounds amazing w/ aem cai and dynomax muffler). I would stear away from a flowmaster, from what i hear they are really loud and annoying.

thrush's generally tend to have more interior resonancewhile crusing.

...i can honestly tell you that the flow master is loud and just too much when you get on it...at idle its not bad..but alot of interior noise when you get on it....i took mine off and got a magnaflow race series on my 04 eco cavalier..with 2.25 duals no res. sounds awsome..
