I found a local machine shop that will make my stock 52mm tb in to a 62. The question is will taking out that much affect the vacum ports?
and if so what are my options?
If anyone has pics of a 62mm tb vacum ports it would be helpful.
62 mm is most useful for turbo or superchargers. go with 59mm. and i hope you have other mods besides this tb

I have a full turbo setup. turbonetics t3/t4 HKS standard wastgate, Greddy BOV, Greddy turbo timer, Boost controler, custom charge pipes, Vortech FMU, Holley In tank pump, custom 3" all the way back with a HKS can, NGK plugs.
I was also wanting to look into this my question is would they also make a 62mm butterfly for the throttle body once its been bored?

the 52 mm tb I've been told can be safely bored out to 58/9mm without going into the vac passages.
Don't quote me on that though.

I just got my TB back from the machine shop and they ported it out to 62mm.
And um,,.....well I'll have to get pics up but you'll be able to see there is NO materal left around the ports.
But its cool because they stopped at 57mm at first. And they've made 59mm ones for me before.
I told them to go to 62mm just so folks can see what can potentially happen.

is it still useable? just to make sure.
Not really useable without adding metal to it.
