The junkyard is not local and they can't send me pics but did manage to give me the GM part# stamped on the bottom of the intake manifold and they confirmed it came off of a 2.3L Quad 4 motor.
24570433
Is this an HO manifold for which I can complete my swap onto my 2.4L using my adapter plate I purchased sometime ago?
Thanks!
J
The Ho manifold casting number end up with 681 IIRC. I gotta check my spare one.
I know it's 6**.

I have 24570288 and with my knowledge... its a Cali-spec HO manifold with EGR ready. You still have to do some mod with EGR plate but the rest should be easy as pie... (knock on wood)

Well I called the local GM dealer and they tell me that these #'s stamped onto the manifold itself is just a casting # and is NOT an actual GM part # which would explain why I don't get anything when looking it up online.
The manifold is off a 2.3L Oldmobile Achieva. What are my odds if I take a chance and just buy it in HOPES that it is indeed a HO version of the intake manifold?
Thanks!

Well theres a few ways to narrow it down if they know what car it came from. One would be to get the 8th digit off the vin, which should be an A, if it is an HO motor. Also you could figure out if its a 95 or not (there was never a HO in any 95 car) And then you can find out the model. SCX, SC, S. Use that link to find out if the model the car is has the HO (LGO) or not. And if its a W41 by any chance, get the IDI cover, and cams (they go for a pretty penny)

I mean if its an SCX, it will have the W41

he can't go with only the VIN number. Some Lo had the Ho intake manifold.

yes, very true (from what i have heard, alot of pontiacs have been found that way). But if he finds a Vin-A car then it should have an HO mani on it.

mine ends in 697, looks like a shorty header, has large primaries, and came off of an early 90's grand am (93' I think). Does anyone have picks, cause I am pretty sure mine is a H.O., but now I am starting to have doubts.
Oops... I know for a fact that my intake manifold is a H.O... I don't know why, but I thought this was a thread about the exhaust manifold. Which is absurd. I definately should have read that better. Sorry.
