Figuring out Compression Ratio
Tuesday, September 12, 2006 8:34 AM
Can someone help me out please? I have 9:1 compression pistons with the N/A Cometic HG that is .030 thick... What would my compression be? I have no clue on how to calculate that. I did get the deck shaved just a tad on the block and head(Ill have to give you that info when I find it)
So if it were a stock block and head, what would my CR be with those mods?

Thank you.

If you know all the required numbers, this calculator will get you the correct CR. It does, however, require some things you might not readily know, such as piston height (above or below deck at TDC) and combustion chamber volume. But all this data is probably available. You will just need to do a little research.
