I did a little searching, but i have to go to work now... My transmission shifts weird now that i put on the 2.3l tb. It shifts slow when i try to cruise (like doesnt shift at all) and it shifts WAY to early when i floor it... i thought maybe it was the vaccum line that runs to the trans, cuz we have a T fitting on it. Also, it is not the TV wire, we checked that all out.

I thought the transmissions in these cars were electronicly controlled? The TPS might be maladjusted. If I'm not mistaken the transmission uses throttle opening to determine shift points.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but did you use your 2.4 sensors on the TB. I had done that, and before starting the car up, I was just browsing through forums and found out that you are supposed to use the 2.3L sensors...I guess the NY-Jbodies write up is wrong.
Well for one, this is on the 2200 engine, and yes supposibly it is electronically shiffted. What i wanna know is my shift RPM's are reversed... i wonder if the TV cable is going the wrong way. Anybody have a pic of their cables connecting?? Also, at an idle, is the TV cable supposed to be loose or tightened all the way. It seems if i make it pull real tight while floored, it shifts even earlier.

i may be wrong but i think on the 2200 3 speed the transmission has no electronics
well does anybody have any pictures or advice on how it is hooked up, and weather i need to add the vac line?

the 3 speed has a cable that runs from the tranny to the TB just like the throtte cable does. Sounds like the cable needs to be adjusted accordingly.
Yeah the TV cable, but what should it look like after it is.... i need to know if that WOT (wide open throttle) the cable is pulled or loose

Im pretty well lost... anybody else have these problems? I need to know how to hook the TV cable up, and where, so that it works right. Also, the car will not downshift while driving (you know, hit "passing gear")
