uppper and lower motor mounts
trans mounts
ebay intake
K&N air filter for ebay intake
control arm bushings

A short shifter isn't much more than $100.00. I'm quite biased to B&M. Used their products before and they are great.

Strut tower bars are a good investment for the suspension, and those are pretty cheap.

This is more of a rule of thumb than anything else. Intakes for one are a huge exception to the rule. AEM as well as any top performance part maker will rape you on the price of an intake. They don't perform much if at all better than a cheap mandral bent aluminum intake from ebay which will cost between $30-50 opposed to $200+ for a name brand one.

Agreed. Just trying to make a rule of thumb... as you stated. Research is key!

I agree on the motor mounts, trans mounts, ebay intakes, secret cam swap, lighter pulleys. Also loose some weight from the car, get some stickey tires and nicely weighted wheels (a bit more than $100 but if you're going to need them anyhow, you could get better than stock), rotor and brake upgrade, even synthetic oil. Good luck and have fun!

yes but as most would agree with, most jbo people are cheap anyway and dont want to pay the price for a valuable piece.

I don't know about the other trans mount (driver side), but the one that connects to the block is solid (passenger side)... I just cleaned up so unless someone else knows and is willing to post, I'll check tomorrow and get back to you on that.
