Ok so im getting ready to have a catback bent for my car(2001 z24 atuo). Eventually i wanna do the 086 head and secret cams. Would 2.5" be over kill or would it be a good match with the better flowing head? Also has anyone used the style muffler that has the removable silencer? How loud are they (with the silencer in) compaired to a magna flow turbo muffler?

it might loose some botom end power. But it should flow on the top end fairly well. 2.25 should be great for it but 2.5 wont be that extremely bad. make sure you get a long resonator though. the 2.4 motor will get very raspy sounding.

Thanks for the advice on the size pipe but what about the muffler? Any one try one similar to this?

It should sound fine should be fairly deep. it's about the same as having a glasspack style muffler on it.
