Well i was searching around the net trying to figure out backlash and how to measure as i am reinstalling my oil pump shortly and i came across this....





well i hope this helps anybody who may be doing work on there engine and couldnt for the life of them figure out how to measure backlash for gears...

Also when measuring it measure it at 4 points (start wherever you please and go 90 degrees from that spot making sure your within spec.)
