Alright guys I got 2.5 compression bend piping on my car. The cat was bad so the guy pulled it. My car is insanely loud. I want to get that cat back on there but I want to get a high flow cat. I saw a few on ebay but I was wondering if theres a certain cat our cars need if so which one, or can I go w/ the universal stuff

you should have no problems using a universal cat, as long as you buy one with the right diameter inlet/outlet pipe. if you no longer don't have a 3-bolt flange after the cat, meaning this guy ran a 2.5" pipe right off of your manifold, you would need a 2.5" cat. if he just cut out the cat and welded a new pipe in its place (to keep the flange), its most likely the stock 1 7/8" diameter piping which means you can use a direct-fit high flow cat.

if you have a header, that could change everything, may either need a 2.25" or 2.5" universal cat. your best bet is to go out there and check it out yourself.

I've got a Magnaflow 2.5" cat on mine. Just passed emissions (properly) on Saturday.

Thanks to everyone who gave advice. It is 2.5 all the way back he welded it to the stock down pipe. It was dirt cheap thats why I let him do it. Yeah Im gonna go with the universal one. Thanks just wanted to know before I bought it. I gotta get a cat back ont his car. You can hear my car coming from like five blocks away. I cant even hold a conversation in my car when I rev past 2500. Thanks though guys.
