B&M SHORTSHIFT -FOR-05 SUNFIRE

im not sure if 04's and below have the same..but with an 05 ...to put it in reverse you have to lift the shift knob ...will that be a problem when installing the b&m shortshift????????

im pretty sure you can remove that little piece, 05s are the same 00+ all use the M86 tranny

On a side note, when I got my short shifter (Ebay knockoff, same as B&M, half the price!!!) I took off the tab for the reverse knob lockout.




Currently #4 in Ecotec Forced Induction horsepower ratings. 505.8 WHP 414WTQ!!!
Currently 3rd quickest Ecotec on the .org - 10.949 @ 131.50 MPH!!!

I also went the ebay route because i could care less about a name on the top of my shift knob since i like the stock knob better than the metal one. So i paid less, and yes you can take the reverse lockout off but if it were me i would leave it on so just that chance i didnt go into reverse.

The B&M short shifter comes with the reverse lockout on it. It's useable, but built backwards so it doesn't fully engage. Still no problem though
